Biography:

I graduated in 1992 from the Schoolof Biologyand in 2001 from the MedicalSchool, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki after finishing my PhD at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg, Germany, in April 1997. I have received several Greek and European fellowships throughout my pre- and postgraduate studies. I specialized in Internal Medicine with a special clinical and research interest in Rheumatology and Autoinflammatory Disorders. I have published more than 40 basic- and clinical research-based papers in peer-reviewed journals, and am a reviewer in several rheumatology journals. In 2009 I received an excellence award from the Research Committee of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for her work in the identification of B cell markers to predict response of rheumatoid arthritis patients to rituximab. I am currently a Specialist Registrar at the 2nd Propedeutic Department of Internal Medicine of the Ippokratio General Hospital in Thessaloniki, Greece.
