Biography:

Dr. Bustamante recived his MD degrees from Universidad de Valladolid, Spain and his Ph.D from the same University. He is Master in “Administration and Direction of Health Systems”. 2007-2009. Universidad Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain. Master in Statistics “Methodology in research: Design and Statistics in Public Health” Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain. 2008-2010. He was a Research Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Universidad de Valladolid and he was awarded a grant to  Universidad de Valladolid and Public Healthcare System. He complited his training in other Hospitals as Vall Hebron in Barcelona or San donato in Milan in the treatment of cardiac failure. Now he works in the Hospital Universitario La Princesa, Madrid, Spain, and he is Assistant Professor. He is investigator in 9 multicentric studies and coordinator of minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of mitral and tricuspid valvulopathy and the Surgical Ventricular Restoration for the International Register in the Hospital Universitario “La Princesa”. He has received numerous awards throughout his professional activity (16). He has published 35 papers and 63 abstracts. He is member of the: Editorial Board of Journal of Chinese Clinical Medicine and Journal of Pulmonary & Respiratory Medicine, “Real Academia de Medicina y Cirugía de Valladolid”, “Real Academia de Medicina de Salamanca”, European Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and European Society of Cardiology.
