Biography:

I am a pediatric foot and ankle surgeon who specializes in diabetic limb salvage and reconstructive surgery. I also possess a PhD in cartilage biology and connective tissue biochemistry. I am currently the Chairman of the Department of Podiatric medicine and Radiology at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Health Sciences. I also serve as a section editor / editor board member of the Journal of Foot and Ankle surgery as well as Chairman of the Evidence Based Medicine and Research Committee of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. I currently oversee academic didactic and clinic experiences of students within my department at Rosalind Franklin University and practice as a clinician and surgeon. I also continue to perform research as a clinical trial investigator and basic science research collaborator. My research interests specifically include wound healing, tissue regeneration, surgical technique development and scaffold engineering and biology.
