Biography:

Dr. Emilia Barcia received her PhD in Pharmacy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain) in 1985. Following completion of her graduate program, she was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the US-Spain Joint Committee to purse her research on pharmaceutics at the University of Maryland at Baltimore (1986-1987, 14 months) where she joined the Department of Pharmaceutics at the School of Pharmacy. She joined the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology at the School of Pharmacy (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and became Full Professor in 1990. Dr Barcia´s expertise is in the development of drug delivery systems, drug stability studies, biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics. Dr Barcia is a member of the Controlled Release Society (CRS) and the Spanish Society of Pharmaceutics (SEFIG). In academia she has graduated several PhD and masters students. She is also serving on the panel of grant reviewers for the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral and WebmedCentral plus:

I think that the idea of WebmedCentral and WebmenCentral plus of expanding the number of editors, reviewers and editorial board members is great since it will enhance the possibilities of more scientific interchange.
